New Broker In The Family
As you know Stewart Mortgage Corp. is a family business. Our son Jamie has been in the business now for the past two years. Little did we know Jamie’s son Riley will likely join our firm when he becomes of age. Riley is 4 1/2 years old. He has been in the office many times and obviously is very interested and curious as to how things work here at Stewart Mortgage.
Already Riley is developing his own signature for signing documentation after seeing his Papa John’s signature and also our friend, Notary Ken MacKinlay’s signature.
The latest indication Riley was really interested in the business was the other day when at home he found Jamie’s old business card holder with cards in it and asked if he could have it. He wanted to know what it was for. Jamie explained it was where you keep your business cards to hand out to clients. Riley then said “where’s my business cards”. Jamie advised Riley, he didn’t have any business cards and that these cards had his name on them. Riley’s response was “I have an idea, you can cross out your name and put my name on it”. Jamie then made up a few for him, thinking he would be satisfied with that. Riley then put his cards in the holder and replied “he would need more, eight of them in all”.
The cards were going to be handed out to relatives and our son-in-law Mark’s business associate, Boris, who Riley has a special interest in. Boris has a transformer store (Riley’s favorite toy) in Vancouver that Riley wants to visit when he goes to Vancouver next.
We didn’t tell Riley but if he plans on working at Stewart Mortgage Corp. he will need at least 500 business cards.
