Bio

Gail Stewart is an administrative guru, and the glue that keeps Stewart Mortgage together. After graduating from Vancouver Technical School, Gail started her administrative career with her first job at the Vancouver Land Title Office, working there for over 7 years. Through her work at the Land Titles Office, Gail worked closely with many lawyers, and was offered a job in a “one girl” law office. She was put to the test with a crash course in wills, estates, conveyancing and adoptions - everything but divorce cases (the lawyer was Catholic and didn’t believe in divorce). After three hectic years in a small office, Gail left to join the conveyancing department of a larger firm.

 In 1975 she met John Stewart, and in early 1976 Gail moved to Kamloops to join him. There Gail worked for local law firm Whist, Webber, Woodruff and Sutherland as a Legal Assistant in their conveyancing Dept. She worked for W.W.W. & S until 1978 when she became a stay at home mom. In 1982 Gail helped launch Stewart Mortgage Corp. Being self employed was an ideal fit, allowing Gail to work part time in something she was skilled at and enjoyed, and still be there for her young family.

 Over twenty-five years later, Gail still finds her work at Stewart Mortgage very rewarding. Being able to help clients is the highlight of her day, and she takes great pride in providing top notch service. Gail is proud to have worked alongside John to grow their company. When not working, Gail loves to spend time with her grandchildren, family and friends. You might also find her reading a good mystery novel or playing online computer games.
